***What's the story?
***

The sound of water gently trickling is one of the most peaceful sounds in our world.  By combining my love of clay together with my love of water, I strive to create beautiful ways to enjoy these elements.

Each of my fountains is unique and entirely crafted by hand.  After the bowl is created, the rim is carved and left to dry.  The drying process will take 1-3 weeks depending upon the humidity.  You can't dry pots too fast or they'll crack (and that wouldn't do for my fountains)!

Pottery forces one to take it slow...

After bowl is "bone dry" it gets bisque fired in the kiln.  When it's done, I then contemplate the bowl and imagine what the fountain head should be!  This is the fun part because I get to test out lots of ideas.  The trick is that you can't test them with water until the fountain head is fired.

Combining art with functionality is what pottery is all about.  I like to get the best sound possible without the splash!   How many times did Edison "try" before he created the light blub? Every "try" without success is a learning process.  Potters live & learn and keep tweaking ideas until they work.

This is the joy of creating!

WELCOME!
Remember to go with the flow!

My art is inspired by the dolphins, this is why I've named my pottery after them!

"Throwing pots is a form of meditation
for me.  The feel and scent of the clay
is very soothing.  Before I begin, I
give the clay Reiki.  This energy
connects me to the clay and opens
 up my creativity."
